+ How are Aggre's products made?
Each item is carefully hand made in Sydney, NSW by Nikki Sparkes from start to finsh.
We use an intricate blend of high-performing concrete, mixed with meticulously refined components. Each of these components work together and assist in a specific way. We are then able to maintain the natural look of concrete whilst creating an exceptionally strong material. Rich, natural pigments are mixed within the concrete to colour each item. This creates a beautiful, earthen effect that has great depth and intrigue.
+ Are your products sealed?
All of Aggre's products go through a stringent sealing process, using several coats of a penetrative sealer which is absorbed into the concrete. A topical sealer is then applied to give it a smooth and silky finish.
+ Are your products foodsafe?
Whilst they are intended for decorative use, they can be used for dry foods like salt and pepper or herbs and spices. Nothing oily please! Do not place in the oven or dishwasher. Please don't use our vessels as a drinking cup.
+ What's to be expected in the finish of your products?
Our focus at Aggre is to maintain the natural beauty of concrete, by highlighting and accentuating it's character. This includes colour movement/variation and the potential for small air pockets on the exterior of the product. Any air pockets on the interior of the product will always be filled in to achieve a smooth surface. Please note, we cannot guarantee that the product will or will not have air pockets, as each product is different.
+ Do you offer custom orders?
We love co-creating new pieces with our customers to suit their needs. We do our best to work with your requirements, however, we cannot guarantee that we can complete your request. Please contact us for further details in regards to options and additional pricing.
Care & Maintenance
-
+ How do i care for my concrete item?
All of Aggre's products should be cleaned using a mild, non-abrasive cleanser. Please refrain from using scour pads on the concrete, as it can scratch your item and breakdown the sealer
Avoid exposure to products with high levels of PH such as bleach and nail polish remover as they can strip the sealer and will expose the concrete to staining.
+ How do i remove the wick once the candle has finished?
Use a blunt knife (a butter knife is your best bet) to gently lift under the metal tab to remove the wick from the vessel. Once you have removed the wick, clean the vessel with warm, soapy water to remove any wax residue or soot.
